Overall mood: restless – time seems to be slipping away from me, and with my inactive reading bug remaining in a slumber, I didn’t read anything in March. I am also posting this a day later than scheduled, so please forgive me for that. Life has been busy yet pretty stagnant for me, especially when it comes to creativity and my pursuit of the arts. Hopefully, with the Easter break on the horizon and an adjusted approach to my reading in mind, I will be able to provide some reviews for you all once again.
I will be utilising my discussions in April to flesh out most of my posts, but I aim to get a couple of reviews back into the mix and give myself the space to read and enjoy reading once more. I have more than a few books ready to please me, not to mention my fantasy reading plan, which I will talk about more in my next discussion post. Safe to say I have ideas, and I want to share them all with you to hold myself accountable, but also provide a realistic view of what it is like to struggle with reading when you previously were a big reader.
Perhaps that is a good question to start discussions for the month: what books do you read when you are in a reading slump or just wanting to escape for a bit without the mental energy required of a new read? These could be rereads, childhood favourites, easy-going “mindless” novels that are simple to digest and take the strain off reading for a bit, or anything else you can think of. Keen to hear what you all do when you’re working through a rut.
