Another October, another round of Spooktober!
Spooktober is back and I have many books set aside for this month, from adult fantasy, historical fiction and classic crime fiction to the horrors, the thrillers, and the dark academias that carry that extra tone of sinister.
While I would love to do another Spooktober where I post daily, that’s not going to happen this year. My last couple of months have been full of reviews and reading. To keep it real with you all, Spooktober is a little dialled back so that I don’t burn out halfway through the month. If you’re looking for more posts and reviews to read and maybe add those books to your tbr, then check out my Spooktober 2023 and Spooktober 2024 posts or my September and October Reading Summaries for those years.
In terms of structure, Spooktober will follow the same post schedule you have seen throughout September’s Scholarly Reading Month lineup. With one discussion post per week and four reviews, it will keep it nice and easy for me to keep up with reads and posts while providing a good balance of reviews for you to peruse. I’m certain there will be something that piques your interests, but if there isn’t, then do check those other Spooktobers and monthly reading summaries for more scary, haunting, and suspenseful reads to fill your October 2025 with.
Hope you all are staying healthy, looking after yourselves, and having a wonderful time. All the best throughout October!
